About a dozen political signs, supporting a variety of Democratic candidates in Douglas County, were removed from a front porch in Parker overnight on Thursday with some of the vandalized signs being tossed into the street.

McCorkle for Colorado

Political yards signs stolen and tossed in Parker.

The incident happened at the home of congressional candidate Ike McCorkle, according to a news release from McCorkle’s campaign.

“Yard signs for various democratic candidates were destroyed, tossed into the street, and stolen,” the release said.

McCorkle is running for Colorado’s 4th Congressional District.

“I’m happy that it was only property and not my family that was harmed,” McCorkle said in the release. “We have to overcome the toxicity of our current civil discourse by electing leaders who will serve with integrity not continue to fan the flames of division.”

The incident has been reported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, according to a McCorkle for Colorado spokesman.
